The Learning Commons at the Wits School of Education is an innovative academic development hub that supports students and staff in building the academic literacies, digital capabilities, and collaborative practices needed for success in higher education today. As teaching, learning, and research continue to evolve alongside digital technologies and new forms of knowledge production, the Learning Commons provides an integrated space where academic writing, digital fluency, and collaborative learning intersect.
Based within the Science and Technology Division at the University, the Learning Commons offers accessible, student-centred support for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, while also contributing to the ongoing professional development of academic staff.
