Masters degrees in the field Film & Television
If you are interested in pursuing a purely theoretical body of research or working on a creative output alongside a written component in order to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in your chosen field, the Film & TV Department has two options available for the part-time or full-time student:
- The written dissertation – a purely theoretical dissertation of 40 000 words.
- Creative work and dissertation – a substantial body of practical output (eg: short film or screenplay) alongside a theoretical dissertation of 20 000 words. Each component is weighted at 50% of the final mark.
Both options require that the research process is conducted through consultation with an appointed supervisor.
