Quantum Science

Quantum science has a long history at Wits, dating back to the establishment of the School of Physics. Presently the active programmes that are quantum related span theoretical physics, high-energy physics, condensed matter physics, and photonics. These have elements of theory and experiment, covering topics such as quantum gravity, quantum field theory, photonic entanglement, quantum key distribution, teleportation, quantum imaging, solid-state qubit devices, and single-photon sources using diamond.
