Engaged Scholarship Journey and Innovations with Professor Bernadette Atuahene

Professor Bernadette Atuahene, an American Law Professor and writer, encouraged academics to make their work personal, saying that there is great power in individualizing a problem. She was speaking at the Wits School of Governance Roundtable on Engaged Scholarship Journey and Innovations on 18 July 2024. Professor Atuahene said that by presenting an issue on a personal level, academics can make their findings more impactful and relatable.

ICEGOV 2024

Dear Colleagues, We are excited to confirm that, South Africa, through the School of Governance (Wits University) and the National Department of Public Service and Administration will host the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV) in 2024 under the theme, “Trust and Ethical Digital Governance for the World We Want.” The conference is maintained and coordinated by the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), headquartered in the city of Guimarães, Portugal. To this end, interested parties are invited to make paper submissions.

ICESCO Chair for Innovation and Futures in Africa launched at WITS

Wits University, through the Tayarisha Research Group, based at the Wits School of Governance, signed an agreement with The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) to host the ICESCO Chair for the study of Innovation and Futures in Africa.
