Research

Research is encouraged in all hospitals.

There are two types of research being conducted in Cardiology division.

  1. a) Several research projects are sponsor driven drug trials. These are important as they generate income for the division. Furthermore, Cardiology fellows learn some important concepts of research such as informed consent and accuracy of data collection and data recording.
  2. b) A major part of research in Cardiology is investigator driven research. Several projects are collaborations with different departments and others are purely division based.
