Overview

New research related to the Africanization of the academic curriculum is encouraged and promoted at the department.

Doctorate is offered by dissertation only. Research topics are chosen in conjunction with the department and its areas of expertise.

 

  • A masters degree from Wits or another university with a 70% total mark aggregate.
  • A supervisor from the Faculty of Humanities must be identified and approached prior to application.
