A Masters Degree in Contemporary Curatorial Practice can be undertaken in three different ways: by dissertation, by dissertation and practical project, or by coursework and research report, or by dissertation only. Dissertation students are required to work with a supervisor to produce either a dissertation of 40,000 words, or a dissertation of 20,000 words in combination with a practical project.

At the beginning of your studies, you will be allocated a supervisor(s) that you will work with towards developing your research project all the way to completion.

Entry Requirements
Entry Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree with honours from Wits or another university with a 65% total mark aggregate.
- A supervisor from the Department must be identified and approached prior to application.

- CV
- Sample of writing (i.e. honours essay paper)
- 1 page description of intended research
