This presentation covers preparation for the job interview, including the common areas such as self awareness, speaking about strengths, weaknesses, goals and career direction. The presentation also deals with common interview questions and tips, common mistakes and aspects to avoid during the interview.

PERSONAL BRANDING

Building a personal brand will take time, commitment, serious thought and consistency.  Join Michaela Mahes as she talks about the essential elements of  BUILDING YOUR PERSONAL BRAND.

Michaela Mahes is currently the Programme & Quality Assurance Manager at the Wits Business School and has had considerable experience in the corporate world as well as the NGO Sector.  She has worked at Deloitte where she led the learning function across a staff complement of 6000.  Her qualifications include an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master's in Business Executive Coaching.

CV & COVER LETTER

Developing a CV and Cover Letter is more than simply putting together list of items to engage with the job search process.  A good CV and Cover Letter will certainly play an important role in being noticed, however, the process of putting together these documents, will also help you to reflect on your career, your strengths, weaknesses, skills, experience and the opportunities that these present.  Attend this presentation to find out more.
