Undergraduate Courses

The Department of Psychology offers a full year course at first year level, which introduces the student to areas of the discipline of Psychology which will be covered in more depth at the second and third year levels.

The second year level is also a full year course which covers topics such as Personality, Developmental Psychology, Cognition and Social Psychology. Research Design and Analysis IIA is a separate module which must be completed if students wish to major in Psychology or Organisational Psychology. Research Design and Analysis IIB is an optional course in advanced research methods and analysis. These modules are usually taken at second year, but may also be taken in third year.

At the third year level the Department offers twelve modules focussing on specialised areas of Psychology. Students are required to choose four of these modules, leading to either a Psychology or an Organisational Psychology Major, depending on the specific modules selected.
