Current postgraduate students should be active on the School's Ulwazi student information portal website - MIA Reconnect. Important documents needed for your postgraduate studies, such as proposal and submission forms, are uploaded to the site.

Research Supervision & Opportunities

The School of Mechanical, Industrial, and Aeronautical Engineering at Wits University offers a wide range of research topics. Details can be found on our research page.

Most postgraduate qualifications involve research projects. Prospective postgraduate students are expected to identify and gain the consent of a research supervisor. Staff research interests can be found on the Staff page and on the list of potential supervisors. Students are expected to contact the supervisor with whom their research interests align.

Available projects are advertised here when vacant. Students are also welcome to propose their own research.
