VRC works with multiple commercial and industrial partners as well as with the Department of Defense to extend component life, enhance performance, or create new parts or features that are difficult or impossible with other available processes.

Mr Nardi previously worked for U.S. Army Research Laboratory Providing materials science and engineering support for many large projects and working to develop and implement new manufacturing and repair processes for the Army.

Key manufacturing technical areas of interest include Cold Spray Deposition, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing, Ultrasonic welding, as well as laser and electron beam powder bed and blown powder additive processes.

I also have a technical background in mechanical behaviour of materials specializing in fatigue and fracture as well as tribology.

Warren Lewis

Warren has been involved with metal atomised and milled powders used primarily for the protection of industrial components deposited by either thermal spray or welding processes such as spray and fuse, PTA, laser cladding and HVOF since around 1980.

He has also been involved with the high temperature nickel based brazing market which includes applications such as EGRs and Catalytic Converters for the automotive industry for several years.

However, Warren specialised in the oil and gas exploration market over the years concentrating on the wear protection of downhole tools such as stabilisers, drill bits, steering pads and the hardbanding of drill pipes.

He has spent time demonstrating and training customers back in the 80’s on metallising applications, consumables and equipment.
