NESS Ambassadors
The Nurturing Excellence for Student Success (NESS) Ambassador Program is a leadership initiative for Health Science students who champion mental health, social justice, and holistic wellness. Ambassadors receive specialised training, host faculty events, and inspire positive change across campus.
As NESS Ambassadors, students:
- Promote Mental Health and Wellness
Plan and host campaigns, workshops, and wellness days. - Receive Skills Training
Build leadership, teamwork, and ethical advocacy skills. - Inspire the Faculty Community
Create an inclusive, supportive environment for fellow students. - Collaborate with Faculty and External Partners
Work with organisations like the Department of Community Safety and the Department of Social Development.
Why it matters:
- Equips students with leadership and communication skills for academic and professional success.
- Strengthens the faculty’s culture of care and community.
- Creates visible student leaders who model resilience and integrity.
Our Highlights:
- Contributed to Let’s Bloom Week, Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace, and #MakeADifference kit assemblies.
- Played key roles in mental health advocacy, GBV awareness, and wellness promotion.
