Public lecture and panel discussion on local government audit outcomes.

The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) and the Wits School of Governance (WSG) cordially invite you to attend a public lecture on local government audit outcomes tor the 2017-18 financial year.

An analysis of the audit outcomes will be presented in the context of the Public Audit Act. This will be followed by a panel discussion.

WITS School of Governance and Wits University Press have the pleasure of inviting you to the launch of 'Governance and the Postcolony'

What are the challenges for governance and accountability in a decolonial context?

Offering a set of multidisciplinary analyses of governance in different sectors (crisis management, water, food security, universities), and in different locales, including the African Union and specific regional contexts, from West Africa, Zambia, to South Africa, this book is an important addition to the growing debates on ‘how to govern’.

Guest Speaker: Joel Netshitenzhe, Executive Director of the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA).

Other speakers: David Everatt (Head of the Wits School of Governance), Darlene Miller, Chelete Monyane and Caryn Abrahams (all from Wits School of Governance).

Join us for an information session for a Wits School of Governance Executive Course in Economic Development and Policy

Our Executive Education courses give you the combination of an academic base with practical learning. Our facilitators are made up of academics and practitioners/consultants from the governance sector.

The Economic and Development Policy course will build on the knowledge and capacities of government staff who are responsible for the analysis, development, implementation and monitoring of economic and development policy, with particular reference to South Africa.

A must for middle and senior level managers.

We look forward to meeting you on 10 September and assisting you to process your application. You will need the following documents if you would like to register for this course:

  • Certified copy of your ID
  • Copy of your Grade 12 and a copy of your higher education qualification
  • Your CV detailing your education and work experience clearly
