About us
The Wits Entrepreneurship Clinic is a partnership between the Wits School of Business Sciences and the British Council, working with the University of Edinburgh, Tshimologong, and the African Circular Economy Network. It exists to:
- Run a clinic programme for SBS Commerce students built on experiential, evidence-based learning
- Build students' business acumen and employability by having them solve real problems for student and informal entrepreneurs
- Accelerate viable ventures identified by those entrepreneurs
- Maintain a local and international footprint through partnerships
- Run an alumni mentorship programme
- Use the clinic as a platform for entrepreneurship research
- Build a culture that treats entrepreneurship as a real alternative to employment
- Focus on digital and sustainable entrepreneurship (4IR, climate change)
