Future Electrical Energy Technology (FEET)

FEET as a group has capacity in Electromagnetic Design R&D (Research and Development). This includes expertise in Finite Element Modelling, Construction and Measurement and Experimental Evaluation of new prototype devices.

The Future Electric Energy Technology research group is involved with all aspects of electrical energy. Projects range from electromechanical systems for thegeneration of electricity from renewable sources, such as wind and ocean waves (through the electronic processing and storage of such energy), to the final application in high efficiency electrical machines. Projects also cover energy consumption studies for the optimisation and efficient use of energy, as well as the management and control of energy systems to optimise the utilisation of renewable sources and minimise the losses in these systems.

The Laboratories are flexible and can be configured to study a variety of subjects under controlled conditions.
