Division of Community Paediatrics

This Division is involved with comprehensive care of individual children in the community as well as addressing health-related issues affecting populations of children.

Teaching includes active involvement in the under- and postgraduate academic and professional training programs (Postgraduate Programmes).

The Division is active in research and is also involved in a number of national and provincial child health initiatives, as well as community programmes. Current research areas include strengthening health service delivery for children, early child development, childhood disability, malnutrition and health science education.

In 2024, the Division will once again be offering the modular MSc(Med) and Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health (Community Paediatrics).
