Delegations Submissions and Papers Publication from the Conference

Participants can submit for review; Long Papers, Short Papers, Working Groups, Posters, and Symposia. Interested teachers can submit ‘How I teach’ papers, but this is not a compulsory requirement for teachers to attend the conference.  All submissions will undergo double, blind review before acceptance.

The AFRICME7 Conference marks a pivotal moment in advancing mathematics education research across the continent. To ensure the scholarly contributions reach a broad and influential audience, three key publications have been curated: the Book of Abstracts, the Conference Proceedings, and a Special Issue of the African Journal of Teacher Education and Development (AJOTED). Each publication is guided by a distinguished editorial team whose expertise spans mathematics education, teacher development, and epistemological innovation.

Mathematics Teacher Professional Development

The Professional Development for Teachers programme is driven by the conference’s commitment to fostering meaningful community engagement. As part of this initiative, a dedicated pre-conference Teacher’s Day will be held prior to the official conference. Following this, all participating teachers will be encouraged to attend the main conference, where a dedicated Teacher Professional Development parallel session will run daily. These sessions will be led by experts and will focus on the Foundation Phase, Intermediate and Senior Phase (Inter-Sen), and the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase, ensuring comprehensive professional support across educational levels.
