Amazon Bursary Programme for aspiring Software Development Engineers

Eligibility Criteria

Field of Study: Pursuing undergraduate degrees in fields related to Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Software Engineering. Specialisations in Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence are also eligible.

Key details:

  • Minimum academic requirement: 65% average
  • Final-year students must complete studies by end of 2027
  • Open to South African university students only
  • Successful applicants may qualify for an internship and permanent placement with Amazon starting January 2028

The Rothschild & Co (South Africa) Foundation Scholarship Application for 2026

Note: this is a full scholarship that covers tuition, textbooks, accommodation, meals, living allowance and other relevant expenses.   

Eligibility Criteria                                       

To be considered for a Rothschild & Co (South Africa) Foundation Scholarship for 2026, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be a third-year student, intending to study an honours degree at UJ or Wits in Accounting Science (Honours or PGDA), Business Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematical Science, Computational & Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or an Accounting bridging course (BPTA)
  • Be able to substantiate a need for financial support
  • Have not failed a year of undergraduate studies
  • Have passed 2025 mid-year exams

 

Complete the online application form found here and remember to attach the following supporting documents:

  • ID copy
  • Matric certificate
  • Transcript (first to third year)
  • 2025 mid-year results
  • A short CV
  • Documents confirming financial need (parents’ payslips, affidavit, etc.)
  • Documents confirming community work since commencing studies at university
