Note: this is a full scholarship that covers tuition, textbooks, accommodation, meals, living allowance and other relevant expenses.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a Rothschild & Co (South Africa) Foundation Scholarship for 2026, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be a third-year student, intending to study an honours degree at UJ or Wits in Accounting Science (Honours or PGDA), Business Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematical Science, Computational & Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or an Accounting bridging course (BPTA)
- Be able to substantiate a need for financial support
- Have not failed a year of undergraduate studies
- Have passed 2025 mid-year exams
Complete the online application form found here and remember to attach the following supporting documents:
- ID copy
- Matric certificate
- Transcript (first to third year)
- 2025 mid-year results
- A short CV
- Documents confirming financial need (parents’ payslips, affidavit, etc.)
- Documents confirming community work since commencing studies at university
