Wits-VITS (Vernacular Innovations in Technology and Science)

The Wits-VITS collection is the product of student work, and lecturer contributions to the ‘Settlements and Architectural Histories and Theories’ course (ARPL 1027 and ARPL 1014), first presented as a combined Architecture and Planning course in 2019. The essays include student work from the 2019 and 2020 academic year. This collection is an initiative of the Campus Innovation Laboratory (CIL). Founded by Professor Nnamdi Elleh, Wits-VITS is both a research portal and a clearing house for scientific concepts, ideas, theories, and knowledge across all fields of study.
