Wits Centre for Macroeconomic Thought Leadership (WCMTL)

The Wits Centre for Macroeconomic Thought Leadership is a student-led platform dedicated to advancing rigorous, policy-relevant macroeconomic discourse in South Africa.  It brings together students, academics, non-academic macroeconomists, and policymakers to engage on key issues such as monetary policy, fiscal sustainability, and economic reform, with the aim of bridging the gap between theory and practice.
