WiCDS at SACOMM

A team of WiCDS scholars took part in the 2026 South African Communications Association (SACOMM) conference, generously hosted by our colleagues at the Wits Centre for Journalism. As well as individual research presented by Nicky Falkof and Paola Prandini, Prof Falkof and Dr Prandini were joined by Kudzaiishe Vanyoro and Rantsho Moraka in a vibrant panel discussion convened by the International Journal of Critical Diversity Studies. Titled 'Media studies and diversity studies: intersections and connections', the panel discussed the many crossovers and ideological commonalities between these fields, and suggested new avenues for creative and interdisciplinary research in the journal.
