New publication: 'The "(Present) Tempos Do Colono": Colonial Reminiscences in Public Education'

Dr Paola Prandini, a postdoctoral researcher at WiCDS, has contributed an article to the 13th volume of the Lusophone Journal of Cultural Studies.

Dr Prandini’s paper examines colonial continuities and the presence of whiteness in social
relations across three Global South countries. It draws on the memories and experiences of a
diverse group of educators teaching in public schools in Johannesburg, Maputo, and São Paulo. The analysis is situated within contemporary frameworks relevant to the realities of South
Africa, Mozambique, and Brazil.
