Join artist Brigitta Stone-Johnson for a walkabout of her exhibition “Troubled Surfaces” this Saturday 14 August from 12h00. “Troubled Surfaces” explores the inherent social life of the city’s stones at our feet and contemplates stony materials’ liveliness as they decay, fragment, gather and grow through repetitive and embodied practices.
The walkabout presents a great opportunity to chat to the artist and learn about the inspiration behind the artworks and exhibition.
In accordance with Covid regulations, a maximum of 20 people will be accommodated for the tour. Booking is essential. To book click here, alternatively call 011 717 1358 or 011 717 1365 or email info.wam@wits.ac.za.

Paradise Fallen: Blaxis explores the art of landscape cinematography and is a meditation on landscapes, using a lens that not only highlights their beauty, but also acknowledges how landscapes are bookmarks and memorials of the history and forgotten narratives that have taken place within them.
