A monthly museum club for children aged 6–13

What if children could experience a museum not only as somewhere they visit, but as a place they can explore, create, question and return to again and again? The Origins Club is a new programme at Origins Centre where children can meet once a month and explore the museum together.

Every month will bring a different theme and activity. Children might:

  • Become archaeologists for the day
  • Experiment with ochre and natural pigments
  • Discover stories hidden in rock art
  • Create maps and imagined journeys
  • Experiment with sound, movement and storytelling
  • Design their own museum of the future.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Origins Club meets once a month for two hours. Each session includes:

  • Exploration of the museum
  • A facilitated monthly activity
  • Creative and collaborative learning
  • Time to meet and work with other children
