Postgraduate and postdoctoral opportunities

Training of postgraduate students is a major activity of the Antiviral Gene Therapy Research Unit. An important objective of the unit is to create opportunities for aspiring young scientists who are interested in gene therapy. The AGTRU offers postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows the opportunity to experience a stimulating research environment. Students are exposed to modern techniques of nanotechnology and molecular biology that are applied to countering serious viral infections.

The AGTRU is happy to receive enquiries by prospective students wishing to undertake postgraduate studies (at either MSc or PhD level) or prospective postdoctoral fellows. Students should ideally have a strong background in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry and/or Organic Chemistry.
