SRC Elections

Wits is home to one of the most progressive student governing structures in the country.

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is the statutory body that advocates for the needs and rights of students. SRC is directly elected by you, the student body, to be its voice in the highest decision making-structures such as the Council and Senate of the University.

They will be the representatives of all your interests, be it transformative, academic, financial and even social. This all-inclusive SRC comprises of 22 student leaders (13 directly elected) representing the diversity of the University’s student body.

The SRC are committed to remaining accountable to the promises they make you long after the ballots have been counted.

Elections are held every year, and this site will be updated once elections are announced.
