SCIS & FES present Digitized direct action: worker power in the platform economy webinar on 16 August 2022, 3:30 - 5:00 pm (SAST)

Please join Dr Maurizio Atzeni (Argentinian National Research Council), Dr Rafael Grohman (Unisinos University), Dr Anita Gurumurthy (ITforChange), and Professor Eddie Webster (Southern Centre for Inequality Studies) as they discuss:

  • How have platform workers responded to digitization?
  • How has digitization itself been incorporated in workers’ strategies of resistance?
  • How can new forms of worker power shape our thinking about the nature of collective action and class struggle in an increasingly globalized, financialized, and digitized world?

This is the fourth in a series of dialogues by the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies (SCIS) & Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES). The policy dialogue series takes place over the course of the academic calendar on the third Tuesday of the month from 3:30 - 5:00pm, SAST.
