Uniting global leaders, academics, and industry experts to explore cutting-edge developments in the fintech industry under the theme "Global Fintech Trends".

The University of the Witwatersrand's School of Economics and Finance and the Wits Fintech Hub are hosting the Wits Global Fintech Conference 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa. The two-day event, taking place on September 3rd and 4th, is focused on the theme "Global Fintech Trends".

The conference aims to be a platform for discussion, knowledge-sharing, and the exploration of new developments in financial technology.

The conference's two-day program is packed with keynotes and technical sessions on a range of topics, including the social and environmental impacts of fintech, sustainable finance, and the practical applications of AI and machine learning. A special session for journal editors offers guidance on submissions, making the event a crucial hub for academics, practitioners, and policymakers to shape the future of finance and technology.

The proceedings are structured to provide a comprehensive overview of the fintech landscape. Day one's keynote addresses will focus on the "Role of Digital Platforms and APIs" and "FinTech Education and the New Skills Landscape" and technical sessions cover subjects such as financial inclusion, employee retention, and sentiment analysis. Day two will feature keynotes on sustainable finance and leveraging machine learning for investment performance, followed by technical sessions on topics like robo-advisors, the impact of insurtech, and carbon credits. 

This two-day event provides a comprehensive look at the future of finance, bringing together diverse expertise to tackle the industry's most pressing topics.
