Permanent Moot Court for law students

The new Ralph Zulman Moot Court in the School of Law is a significant investment in the future of the legal profession.
The facility is intended to empower students to become future leaders and give them the tools they need to excel in law.
“This is not only a remarkable facility. This is also a strong investment in higher education. It is an investment in the future of the legal profession, and it is an investment in the capabilities and the dreams of some of our best students, who are truly world-class. A facility like this doesn't fall from the sky. It takes a considerable amount of vision, a considerable amount of resources, time, and effort to make this final thing happen,” said Professor Emile Zitzke, Acting Academic Director at the School of Law, at the recent opening of the Moot Court.
In 2022, the family of the late Supreme Court Judge Ralph Zulman made a generous donation to the School of Law. The money was used to purchase furniture for a portable Moot Court.
Subsequently, the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management (CLM) allocated the Rembrandt Gallery in the School of Law as the permanent home for the Moot Court. The Court is fitted with benches and audiovisual equipment to simulate a real-life courtroom.
