This month, we’re going to be exploring colour and shape in the exhibition A beast slouches and so forth: Robert Hodgins at WAM, currently on show. Robert Hodgins once said that “Being an artist is about putting something into your subject matter that isn’t inherently there,” So picking up on this leading South African artist’s approach, and using a mixture of collage and oil pastels, we’ll have fun creating our own versions of his subject matter.
