Join us at WAM this Saturday 03 October 2026 at 12:00 for a panel discussion on the exhibition 'What We Do Not See'.

Facilitated by Jodie Pather, the conversation brings together brings together Tsephiso Mabula, Zanele Dhlamini, Matsediso Dichaba and Naledi Mkupa. The discussion will explore the role of photography workshops in South African townships and rural areas where there are limited or no photography educational platforms.

The discussion will include work produced through Of Soul & Joy in a photography workshop designed and facilitated entirely by women for young women living in Merafe Hostel, Soweto. In celebration of Women's Month, the inititave created a safe and empowering space for participants to explore the theme "This is Home" through photography, storytelling and conceptual thinking.

Come and engage with the exhibition, hear from our panellists, and explore the work and conversations that emerged through this meaningful inititave.

Free parking for the walkabout is available in the garage beneath the Museum.

Museum hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 - 16:00

Entrance is free and all are welcome.
