A coalescence of two bodies of work: of water and dust, of past and present, of fantasy and reality, of human and nature, of life and death.  

Where things are seemingly at odds, those tensions produce energy. In suspense, energy begs for action. In that sweet and sour pot, you will find a Citrus Soup: An amalgamation of dichotomies where the in-betweens are honoured and even odd is now the norm. It is the treasured X marks the spot where water and dust become ocean, where past and present create future, where magic bleeds into the urban every day, where the human reconciles its nature, where decay gives way to growth. The end of things is also their start, and new things are waiting to be built at the time of their crumbling. Citrus Soup lies at that point of wanting more. Hunger feeds off disappointment; thirst gnaws at indecision. Look inside that empty space in your stomach’s pit, inside uncertainty which is potential which is curiosity which is a bug. Bugs are deviant, defect, undesirable, Other – things that don’t quite fit, that are indicative of improper functioning. Bugs are rust, bugs are mould. Bugs invite new perspectives.  

So, shrink down, float in the in-between… but not for too long…
