Launch of circular mineral economies and the just transition: Copper in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) report

The Mandela Institute, the School of Law at the University of the Witwatersrand, and the Heinrich Böll Foundation are honoured to extend an invitation to you for the launch of a report titled “Circular Mineral Economies and the Just Transition: Copper in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Indeed, copper is a vital mineral that significantly contributes to infrastructure development within SADC. Accordingly, the report offers evidence and insights on the importance of copper in fostering circular economies and facilitating the just transition in the region. The launch event aims to bring together distinguished legal professionals, academics, researchers, students, and community leaders to discuss the report. The event will feature keynote addresses by esteemed international and local speakers, as well as a question-and-answer session.
