Biography of the speaker:  Dr. Sershiv Reddy is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa (non-practicing) and a senior lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, where he teaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also serves on the research ethics committee for the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Law at the University of Johannesburg.  His research specialisation is in Cyber Law, particularly on cyber harassment and social media communications that cause online harm and the influence of artificial intelligence on social media communications (including that of deepfakes, hate speech, discrimination and other potential harmful effects of artificial intelligence).
