A collaboration between Wits University’s School of Economics and Finance (SEF) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF).

This forthcoming academic event, a collaboration between Wits University’s School of Economics and Finance (SEF) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), will convene a distinguished panel of leading economists, policymakers, and academics. The core of their discussion will be on the vital topic of "Price Stability and Policy Credibility: Rethinking the Inflation Target."

The discussion will explore how central banks and policymakers can best navigate the complex challenge of maintaining price stability in a dynamic and often turbulent global economic landscape. Participants will critically evaluate the effectiveness of the current inflation targeting framework and its role in fostering economic growth and stability.
