Free Family Make-and-Create at WAM meets Make-a-Book with the JGCBA

Bring the whole family to WAM as we celebrate the heroes in our everyday lives in this special crossover between our Free Family Make-and-Create and Make-a-Book

Join JGCBA librarian Ciara and experienced WAM docents Pam and Elona as they guide you through the exhibition Rainbow Nation Comics presents YOUNG NELSON: Renewal/Rejuvenation. Together, you’ll design your very own zine bringing your heroes to life through drawing, collage, and storytelling.

This hands-on workshop is perfect for kids, teens, and families — no experience needed, just your imagination. Explore playful ways to illustrate and share stories about the people who make your community brighter, and take home your very own zine as a keepsake.

All materials are provided.
No booking is required and entrance is free.
