Flesh In the Garden is an African inspired Musical. A Tale of the old Gods – The African Gods. The musical reimagines the Orisha (divine spirits worshipped by the Yoruba people, a tribe in Nigeria) in the spirit world. These spirits reside and inspire the mortal realm. Gods and Goddesses, they may be, are divine children of the Tree of Life. The mother tree, Ase’, withers and burns, while the Second being, Oludomare, the Father of the Universe who is omnipotent. The children embark on a mission to save their mother and the Universe from calamity and darkness. In their plight, the Orisha must confront the impending doom lurking in the midst, while unearthing their past traumas, to see clearly the path towards saving ‘Ase’. Get enchanted in the magic of African spirituality and beauty, beautifully woven through bold music, vibrant characters and the extraordinarily mysterious world, created through mesmerising visuals and sensory storytelling.
