The Origins Centre is excited to present a site-responsive temporary exhibition with Berlin and Johannesburg-based Icelandic artist Erla S. Haraldsdóttir.
Marcela Cabutti is an Argentine artist, currently in a residency at Origins Centre, Wits, as part of BIENALSUR 2025.
This exhibition explores the North Nguni basket tradition, highlighting its deep connections to identity, heritage, disability, history, and sustainability.
This exhibition was born out of the unrecognised, but vital, role of the basket maker in the collective heritage of rural communities.
