Wits has adopted a Mandatory Vaccination Policy (MVax Policy) which states that all members of the University community will be required to vaccinate against Covid-19 in order to access the University’s premises, aside from those who have been granted Reasonable Accommodation (RA). Click here for more information about the MVax policy.
Members of the Wits community will have until 1 March to get vaccinated in order to enter all Wits precincts. Wits residence students will be required to be vaccinated before applying for and entering Wits residences. Staff, students, visitors, and contractors, please follow the steps below to find out what you need to do.
Covid-19 has disrupted student activities and Wits’ campus life. The Policy is for everyone’s protection to reduce transmission and severity of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, allowing us to get back to campus for teaching and learning. Find out more about Covid-19 by clicking here.
As of 1 March, all visitors entering campus via the pedestrian gates or in vehicles will be required to present their ID and Vaccination Certificate with QR code confirming vaccination status.
