Conference Facilities

Wits has a range of flexible venues suitable for any occasion or event, with options for catering and accomodation.

Outside the course of day-to-day teaching activities, across the 5 main campuses, Wits has a wide range of facilities and venues that are available to for hire by the public and can be used for conferences, seminars, sporting, social or cultural activities. External companies may book venues as well, but regrettably, no Sunday bookings are generally not accepted. Special arrangements can also be made for the filming of adverts and movie scenes on the campuses.

Bookings for large open spaces such as the Solomon Mahlangu House Concourse, New Commerce Building Foyer, Gavin Reilley Greens, Piazza and Great Hall Steps are also possible.

The Wits Sport Conference Centre is a particularly sought-after venue with free wi-fi and secure parking for up to 350 cars. 

Many venues have audio-visual equipment available for use at reasonable rates, although arrangements can be made for external companies to provide these services.

Catering options are available at some facilities through a number of service providers who already cater many university functions, so please inquire as to the options available.
