BA Honours in Critical Diversity Studies

The Honours in the Field of Diversity Studies is an interdisciplinary programme that is undertaken by students from various disciplines (although most come from disciplines within the Humanities and Social Sciences). The interdisciplinary programme deepens critical theoretical  understandings of diversity issues in society through the core course "Keywords in Critical Diversity" - an introduction to diversity language and terminology. The programme is done by Coursework and Research.

The content of the course can be applied to a variety of fields and professions, and the robustly critical approach to issues of diversity, difference, and otherness that the programme teaches will give you a solid foundation when pursuing the MA and PhD programmes.

The programmes are ideal for individuals who seek careers in the transformation sector or who are already working in it, and who wish to deepen their critical skills so as to improve their practice. This is however only one career trajectory that can be followed, as the content of the course prepares students for optimal functioning in a diverse society.

Students can choose to pursue the programme full-time over 1 year or part-time over 2 years.
