Leukemia/Lymphoma Immunophenotyping

The Immunophenotyping laboratory provides routine immunophenotypic diagnosis of haematopoietic malignancies, CD34 quantitation for bone marrow transplantation and lymphocyte subset analysis for immune deficiencies. Additional services include DNA-ploidy studies as well as immunophenotyping for review of fine needle aspirate/tissue biopsy and fluids.  Approximately 16000 tests were performed during 2013. The laboratory is currently validating CD19 and CD20 quantitation for patients on Rituximab therapy. The Leukaemia Immunophenotyping facility processes over 400 new clinical cases per month.
