Giving to Wits
Wits University’s teaching and research can only be sustained with the continued support of its global network of alumni and friends.
Wits Fund identifies and selects causes and projects at Wits that it will support through its fundraising work in the USA and your donation to the Wits Fund directly benefits Wits today and in the future.
We offer three ways to donate. Online donations – which are secure, fast, and easy – donation by mail or contributing via wire transfer. Gifts of any size are sincerely appreciated and may offer tax benefits to you where applicable by law.
The Wits Fund follows industry standard practice, of holding small percentage of larger donations to help defray accounting, legal and administrative costs, as follows:
- Up to $1,000: 0%
- $1,000 to $99,999: 8%
- $100,000 to $999,999: 7%
- $1 million and above: 6%
