It's crunch time for 50,000 delegates from government, intergovernmental organisations, UN agencies, NGOs and civil society to agree on a shared action plan.
A new book, titled: Climate Change: Briefings from Southern Africa, by world leading experts on climate change from Wits University, Professors Bob and Mary Scholes, and co-author, Professor Mike Lucas, from the University of Cape Town, gives a clear, scientific take on how climate change is impacting southern Africa.
The launch co-incides with the most important conferences on climate change ever held, taking place in Paris (30 November - 11 December 2015). COP21, also known as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, will, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, aim to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.
