The Governance Roundtables are conceptualised as opportunities to bring together a range of different stakeholders and viewpoints to discuss complex and recurring governance challenges. They bring different positions together to deliberate on the issue in order to move beyond established debates and to think about new ways forward. Previous roundtables were aimed at developing an Emergency Preparedness and Response plan to ensure a coordinated and effective response in the event of an Ebola outbreak in South Africa. The School hosted one with the Basic Education Department, which explored ways to develop an integrated framework for improved assessments.
