Chris completed his doctorate in the Foundations and Ethics of the Life Sciences through the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Milan, and the European School of Molecular Medicine. His doctoral research engaged ethical controversies concerning substantial life extension in the light of empirical findings on calorie restriction. He has published and presented papers in political theory, bioethics, public health ethics, applied ethics, and Bayesian epistemology. Chris has also taught courses in moral theory, applied ethics, political theory, epistemology, and metaphysics. His research provides empirically informed evaluations of emerging technologies and their relevance for ethical policy.
