Part-time Studies for Working Professionals

At Wits Plus, we understand that professionals and more mature adults need their studies to fit in with their lifestyle or career. Lectures are held on weekday evenings or in some instances on Saturday mornings. 

Applications for 2018 will be open as follows:

  • BA, BCom and BSc Engineering degrees: 1 August to 30 November 2017 
  • Short courses: 1 September 2017 to 12 January 2018 
  • Corporate Governance and Administration: 2 October 2017 to 5 January 2018 
  • Occasional Studies: 1 August to 15 December 2017

Degree Courses 

Wits Plus offers Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degrees on a part-time basis. The BA and BCom qualifications are equal to the full-time qualifications, with the added advantage of flexibility to accommodate full-time working professionals and more mature adults. Wits Plus also offers BA and BCom degrees with Law, as well as the first two years of the BSc Engineering degree.

Short Certificate Courses

You can choose from more than 30 short courses and certificate programmes to fast-track your career in the following fields: Accounting, Business and Financial Management, Economics, Human Resources, Insurance and Investment, Law, Management and Project Management, as well as Corporate Governance and Administration. A step-by-step video clip explains the application process. 

Online Short Courses

Our online short certificate courses have been designed to meet the needs of the working professional and address very specific critical skills. Successful students are awarded Certificates of Competence, fully accredited by Wits University.
