Do I need a ticket for the ceremony?

Every graduand has a reserved seat and will receive a name card which must be handed to the Dean on stage. Each graduand is ENTITLED to two guest tickets. Guest seats are not reserved. Tickets may be collected in CB228 (where you collect your gowns) between 7am to 9am for the morning session, 10am to 12:30 for the afternoon session and between 14:00 and 16:00 for the evening session.

  • Please do not lose/misplace your name card!
  • A seating plan for graduands will be posted at the entrance to the Great Hall.
  • Please check your seat number before entering the Great Hall.
  • Ushers and/or EGO staff will be on hand to direct you to your allocated seat.

Where will the ceremony take place and how long will it last?

The Graduation Ceremony is held in the Great Hall on East Campus and commences promptly at 9:30 (for the morning session) and 14:30 (for the afternoon session) . The duration of the ceremony is approximately 2 hours.
