Building our Infrastructure

Wits continues to prove itself as a leading South African University and the number of student applicants increases annually.

Although Wits welcomes the increase in applications, space becomes a problem.  There is a need for support to increase the infrastructure, labs and equipment to accommodate the growing student population.

Donations towards new buildings, essential equipment and labs as well as renovations and extensions to existing buildings are greatly appreciated.

At the moment, Wits is raising funds for the Tshimologong Precinct and Wits Art Museum.

Tshimologong Precinct is part of an ambitious ICT cluster development programme, Tech-in-Braam, that is contributing to the rejuvenation of Braamfontein to establish this once dilapidated suburb as the new technical heart of South Africa and beyond.

Wits Art Museum (WAM) is a home to an extraordinary collection of African art, including contemporary and historical art from South Africa and art from West and Central. Today, we still rely on donors like you for operating funds, programmes and artworks.
