<br />The African Green Resources, Energy and Economy (AGREE) is multi-country research project which provides a policy-relevant analysis of Africa&rsquo;s role in the global green transition, centred on its vast reserves of critical minerals essential to low-carbon technologies. It draws on original research conducted in five countries &ndash; South Africa, DRC, Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia. The key aspects of the research included taking stock of green mineral endowments in these countries and evaluating pathways for mineral-based industrialisation that prioritise equity, value addition, ecological sustainability, and regional economic cooperation.
